Television,
film, and videos almost set a standard for the way we accept ordinary things in
our everyday lives. The way we see people act on a screen can heavily influence
the way we act in our everyday lives. It gives us a feeling that seeing someone
else do something gives us reasoning to do it ourselves. For instance, one
might see a commercial on tv showing a someone putting on AXE body spray and
getting a bunch of girls so he goes out and buys some just to find out that its
cheap and not recommended for what he was going for. Also, television, film,
and videos usually portray the ordinary things we accept in our daily world in
a good light. For instance, gay marriage is being accepted more and more in
today’s society and in result we are now seeing more and more gay couples in tv
shows and films. Also, movies seem to have a protagonist that is every guy’s or
girl’s dream as a spouse and it sets the bar for everyone else. All in all,
television, film, and videos have a huge impact on how we live our daily lives
and sometimes acts as a reflection of our society, while other times they are
the opposite.
